The Maritim Hotel Mauritius, built in typical Mauritian luxury style and completly renovated in 2000 is located in the middle of a park on Turtle Bay on the island’s northwest coast. Turtle Bay was the first national park for marine life in Mauritius and it teems with vibrancy and color. The hotel’s grounds are set within a 60 acre park lush with palm trees, tropical flowers a tiny river and beautiful views wherever one looks.
The hotel is situated on the grounds of the 18th Century “Balaclava� historical estate, with mysterious ruins, walkways, paths, gardens and magnificent views of the most picturesque mountains in Mauritius. There are more than ample sports including a 9-hole golf course and a stable with 12 horses and ponies plus huge fitness center for the wellness enthusiast …and all the water activities – both above and below the water’s surface – in the turquoise-green reef protected lagoon.
