Set on the island of Mauritius in the sparkling Indian Ocean, One&Only Le Touessrok is a pinnacle of tropical luxury and one of the most romantic places on earth.

The resort reopened in December, 2002, adding contemporary sophistication to its original Mediterranean village style. A wooden bridge links to Frangipani Island, where there are new suites. On Ile aux Cerfs there is a new restaurant and the new championship golf course, endorsed by Bernhard Langer, due to open September 2003. Ilot Mangénie, the resort’s retreat island, is five minutes away by private boat.

The One&Only Le Touessrok is reborn after comprehensive rebuilding and restyling. Acutely sensual, with contemporary haut chic, it has new rooms and suites, new cuisines, new Givenchy Spa relaxations, and a new championship golf course.

Timeless are the white sand beaches, the blue Indian Ocean, the offshore island retreats, the star-filled nights and warm-breeze days. Sleek, romantic - a pinnacle of tropical luxury on the beguiling island of Mauritius.

Newly renovated as of 1 November 2002, this vast, spectacular resort from Hotels Constance is set in a private realm of harmony and beauty along one of the most spectacular beaches on the island. Built in the typical Mauritian style, Belle Mare Plage is set in a tropical garden in the midst of a park. Between the glittering blue green Indian Ocean and the luxuriant natural setting, Belle Mare Plage offers its guests an unequalled array of amenities, activities, temptingly delicious cuisines and the utmost comfort of its accommodations. No matter what the taste or interest, there is an entrancing holiday awaiting at Belle Mare Plage.

Internationally renowned as one of the finest and most complete sporting complexes, Belle Mare Plage offers a selection of activities for both the amateur and the professional. The 2 championship golf courses challenge players of every caliber and are the first of its kind in Mauritius. “The Legend” boasts its landmark 17th hole which provides an exotic vista from the tee across the bay encircling the island green situated on an outcrop of volcanic rock. It’s home to “The Mauritius Open”, and formerly to the now-discontinued “Johnnie Walker Classic.” It is also the host course for “The PGA of Mauritius,” affiliated to The PGA of Africa. The Course record belongs to Mike McLean (UK) with 62 (Ten under Par) established in Dec. 95. And, opening in November, 2002, “The Links” was designed by Rodney Wright and Peter Allis.

Tennis playing, lessons and clinics take place on four clay courts. There’s an air conditioned squash court, jogging path, and complete fitness center. The guest can choose wind surfing, water-skiing, hobie cat sailing from a long list of water sports, all in the coral reef protected lagoon.

At Belle Mare Plage each meal is an inspired celebration. The freshest, most aromatic ingredients are artfully prepared, then presented by attentive waiters. Each of the four restaurants has its own style and character and all subscribe to the resort’s high standards.

Le Prince Maurice represents a new generation of 5-star luxury hotels. The concept moves away from over- decorated palaces towards a fresher and more relaxing plan of harmony with nature, integrity of design, and simplicity of décor. The Aman Resorts chain in Asia, created this spirit now reflected in this, the newest of Mauritius’ superior resort hotels.

The Mauritian Hotel Industry is grateful to Prince Maurice who created the spice route, thus giving great impetus to the trade of “divine essences”. It is after his name that our island was named Mauritius, which became the most favourite port of call of the Dutch, and which later on became the distribution centre of Asian spices, thanks to Pierre Poivre. The allure of the Indian Ocean islands has grown far beyond the quest for spices, leading to a demand for more knowledge of this exotic region.

In November 1998 Mauritius has revived it`s tradition by inaugurating LE PRINCE MAURICE, flagship of the island’s five-star luxury hotel industry and the true symbol of a new generation of hotels. Located on a unique and exceptional site,

Le Prince Maurice is a five star luxury hotel, overlooking a peaceful lagoon and the coral barrier reef. This site is indeed the true jewel of a natural predestined paradise.

Elegant and natural building materials such as marble, wood and stone as well as an architecture allowing nature, water, space and light to create an atmosphere of comfort. This concept truly comes from Asian culture in its art of living embellished with the Mauritian’s smile
and hospitality.

The service also depicts a new generation of luxury hotels.

Elegant and unrestrained, the service at Le Prince Maurice reflects the tranquillity looked for a discerning clientèle.

The setup of the hotel, only 88 suites in all includes 60 hectares and 4 beaches, provides for an unparalleled standard of service and care, uniquely personal, never familiar. The hotel is spread out along a sheltered coral sand beach and private lagoon. The suites are in two categories Senior and Junior. They are scattered along the pristine beach, in landscaped gardens, on waterways, and even suspended on site over the lagoon.

The Senior Suites are detached villas, each with a conventional interior bathroom as well as a stylish exterior walled bathing area, a waterfall shower cascading into a jacuzzi bath, surrounded by pebble gardens and flowers.

Each Senior Suite has a large terrace and a private swimming pool. Three of them are built on stilts, overlooking the calm lagoon.

The entrance to the Hotel features a towering port-cochere, leading to the central lobby over bridges spanning palm-studded water displays. A pool stretches towards the lagoon, the waters seeming to blend one with the other. The Hotel has no reception area, or cashier’s desk - guests are just that, and formalities are minimal and conducted privately

Signature shops and a tranquil library lead to an elegant lounge bar. This, in turn, leads to the restaurant, which is in three sections; each suspended over the pool, facing the lagoon. A unique floating restaurant provides serene views of the lagoon and the mountains against the setting sun, as guests enjoy freshly-prepared seafoods and grills.

If all of this becomes too much, the select fitness centre provides secluded massage areas, an outdoor atrium pool and beauty therapy, all in an atmosphere of privacy and luxury. Le Prince Maurice offers discerning travellers refreshment and refinement in the midst of a healthy and relaxing environment on one of the most beautiful islands on earth.

Quite simply, Le Saint Géran is the “Grande Dame” of the island of Mauritius. A paradise within a paradise, this gorgeous six-star hotel is the ultimate indulgence. Set beside a sparkling, pristine beach on the edge of the Indian Ocean, on a 60 acre private peninsula, it is the epitome of relaxation, luxury, gastronomy, and enjoyment. Newly redesigned with supreme elegance, Le Saint Géran embraces the multi-ethnic cuisine of the Alain Ducasse “Spoon des Iles” gourmet restaurant, the languorous pampering of a Givenchy Health and Beauty Spa, a challenging Gary Player designed golf course and the excitement of its own casino. And naturally, the luxury villa and 162 suites are pure bliss.

Exquisite taste and grand opulence seamlessly blend state-of-the-art technology within Le Saint Géran’s 175 rooms and suites. The outsize beds are covered with Egyptian cotton sheets, piled high with goose down pillows. Every piece of hand selected furniture along with the artful blending of the colours of Indian Ocean spices contribute to the rooms’ gentle ambience. Panoramic picture windows seem to magically bring the azure sea and lagoon close enough to touch. Huge fully-fitted tubs and showers invite you to linger amidst mist-free mirrors, aromatherapy oils and exotic bath salts.

The world’s finest cuisine is here to seduce your palate at Le Saint Géran. Crisp, ripe fruit and freshly squeezed tropical juices at breakfast; mouth-watering crayfish and prawns straight from the ocean at lunch; one of Alain Ducasse’s stunning creations for dinner. Whether it’s the spicy temptations of the home-grown Creole cuisine, or the delicate subtleties of specialities from France, India, China or Asia, Le Saint Géran’s master chefs merely await your order. And the hotel’s cellar is beyond doubt the finest on the island, and knows no limits.
